The December 2006 student of the month is Collin. Collin has recently achieved his orange belt in the youth karate class. Focus, commitment, speed, perseverance and respect are all qualities that Collin continues to strive towards.

The Student of the Month for November 2006 is Tas. Tas who is 8 years old is new to the Youth Program, however, he started in karate as a Dragon and has now progressed to a Junior Yellow Belt. Tas loves performimg kata and sparring and has recently competed in his first karate tournament, the Battle of Ontario Karate Championships. We don't think it will be his last tournament.

The student of the month for October 2006 is Millana. Millana is 5 years of age however will be celebrating her 6th birthday mid-month. Millana started her training as a Tiger and has advanced now to the Dragons class. Millana works very hard both in class and also spends lots of time practicing with her father and sister who are also in karate. Millana has just been accepted as a Competition Team Member.

The student of the month for July 2006 is Alex. Alex is 12 years old and has been doing karate for approx. 6 months. He is now a yellow belt. He is preparing for another testing soon so therefore his favorite kata has been Mawashi Uke. Alex has extreme focus and committment to his training. He attends extra classes as well as his regular class times.

The student of the month for June is Benjamin. In April, Ben earned his green belt and is now working towards his blue belt. He loves to train and he also loves to compete. More recently Ben participated in a tournament and was awarded first place for his efforts.

Congratulations Ben! A future black belt is indeed on his way.

Jonah is our student of the month for May. Jonah is a yellow belt who enjoys his karate very much.

SOM for April is Peter, AKA Pete, Petey. Peter has been training since he was 5 years of age. Soon to be 8 years. He stands out in a class of 40 other children being the one who gives 100% of his effort all the time. Peter enjoys perfecting movements of his katas and also likes to compete in local tournament events.

The Student of the month for March is Jenna. Jenna is a white belt who is diligently working towards her yellow belt. Jenna is always seen practicing and asking questions about her training. She is very eager to try new things.

February's Student of the Month is Billy. Billy has been training in the martial arts for quite some time. Billy has a great attitude, great technique, and great atttendance.

Billy is awaiting his turn to be tested for his Blue belt coming up Mid-February. Good Luck Billy!
